Social Media Community Manager 143 Studios is seeking a part-time community manager to join our team (20-30 hours per week) in Boston, MA. About the role: The Social Media Community Manager is the first direct line to our followers and fans and is responsible for leading community engagement initiatives on social media and ensuring that our audience is heard, seen and celebrated. Our community also turns to us for early morning inspiration, which is why this role will require a start time of 7am EST. We---re looking for a proactive, positive and creative individual to support and grow our highly engaged online community. This junior position requires someone who is obsessed with social media, is a practitioner and user of tools such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, while also keeping a pulse on what---s trending across the web. You know what---s about to blow up on TikTok WELLLL before it makes it to Instagram Reels. You love viral memes, you---re constantly creating new content of your own and love documenting life around you. You know how to get a community riled up and engaged through value-based relationships and engagement. You---ll be responsible for: --- External community building on Mel---s owned properties on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn. --- The retention and engagement of the community to further brand objectives and goals, while driving brand affinity --- Maintaining a positive social experience for consumers, answering community comments, questions and DMs. Escalating where necessary. --- Capturing content and questions to help us better serve our community --- Relay community feedback gained from online conversations within the community to internal stakeholders to drive content creation --- Actively recommends and implements ways to increase and improve relationships with our community and engagement --- Contribute to our weekly, monthly and ad hoc social reporting including post performance, social listening and competitive benchmarking --- Supports on scheduling approved contents across channels and troubleshooting, as assigned --- Monitoring platforms and hashtags for content opportunities and initiating conversations (within guidelines as defined by team) --- Supporting in the curation of timely and culturally relevant/trending memes to help entertain our audience --- Keeping up to date with the latest social trends and tools and bringing fresh ideas on how to use them You---re the ideal candidate for this position if you... --- A degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field --- Based in the Boston metro area or southern Vermont (within 30 miles of Manchester, VT) --- One (1) year or more of customer service experience via a digital platform --- Are an early riser! The shift for this community manager role starts at 7am ET weekdays --- Strong writing skills and work ethic --- Thorough understanding of social best practices and immersion in pop culture/trends to identify real-time opportunities; ability to help action accordingly --- Have the ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment --- Are able to set priorities and remain flexible in changing environments --- Are reliable and resourceful and know how to manage your time so deadlines are met and followers are responded to promptly --- Open to travel and comfortable with behind-the-scenes content capture and shooting scenarios --- Possess high EQ and strong interpersonal skills; a team player, a positive go-getter and all-around good person --- Proficiency in Google Suite (email, docs, drive, slides) --- Forensic attention to detail --- Eye for innovation and identifying emerging platforms and trends in the digital space --- Experience with social tools and analytics such as Facebook Creator Studio, Sprout Social and Google Analytics are a plus but not required.
