Position Role Type: Onsite As a Principal Mechanical Engineer - Controls and Actuation at Raytheon, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions for a wide range of moving element challenges, such as aerodynamic steering, thrust vectoring, attitude-and-divert maneuvering, pointing, and stabilizing of missile systems & subsystems. Your tasks will include practical application of mechanical engineering principles to solve complex system problems, teaming with cross-discipline teams, and developing requirements and comprehension, concept development, trade study evaluation, structural and thermal analysis, and more. You will also have the opportunity to grow into a team leadership role of a major hardware subsystem on a specific program. • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior mechanical engineering experience, OR an Advanced degree in a related field and 8 years' experience
• Experience with actuation drive systems, bearing configurations, electromechanical control actuation systems
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
• Experience with Systems or Mechanical Engineering of servo controls
• Knowledge of control actuation systems, feedback control systems, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Additional Information: * Please consider the following role type definitions as you apply for this role.*
