The software is primarily real-time embedded in C++, with opportunities in DevSecOps and tool design. The team operates in a collaborative environment with mentorship and growth opportunities. All phases of software development are underway, offering diverse challenges. The program is funded, in a growth phase, and expected to continue for years.Job Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, and modify complex software systems, primarily in C++.
• Evaluate software designs for flaws.
• Communicate progress and results to management.
• Utilize and improve development processes with new techniques.
• Provide technical leadership, including technology selection and strategic planning.
• Ensure effective communication among team members.
• Potential to become a software technical lead, mentoring team members and presenting designs to customers.This role requires full-time onsite work at a BAE Systems facility due to collaboration and security needs.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Active Secret Security Clearance (within past two years).
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, with at least 8 years of experience or equivalent.
  • Experience in real-time embedded software development.
  • Strong C++ skills.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented design principles.
  • Experience with software and systems engineering processes and tools.
  • Proven ability in software testing, validation, and verification.
  • Ability to lead and motivate small technical teams. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Full software development lifecycle experience.
    • Experience with automated testing and algorithm development.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
    • Experience defining software/firmware interfaces.
    • Skills in requirements development.
    • Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus.
