Job Description:
SUMMARY: The Director, Information Technology is charged with
the development and the implementation of the strategic vision for
all areas of technology. The Director will manage the team and
activities within the IT Department and ensure the team stays
current on leading technology. This key person will coordinate and
ensure completion of IT and related projects within the
organization and will ensure company resources are utilized
appropriately. Will be responsible for planning and directing
budgets, goals, and business objectives. Will develop, plan,
implement, and maintain an updated Enterprise Resources Planning
System. (ERP). This key leader will develop business partnerships
with all functional areas of the business to meet the demands of a
growing and changing environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop the strategic vision and execute strategic initiatives
around key IT areas including but not limited to the following:
hardware, software, internet/social media, telecommunications, ERP,
security, disaster recovery, and business intelligence
solutions
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development,
upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers,
desktop/laptops/tablets/iPhones, operating systems, telephones,
software applications, and peripherals
- Provide strategic direction by keeping current with the latest
technologies and determine what new technology solutions and
implementations will meet business and system requirements and
strategic vision
- Oversee systems development, enhancement and the integration of
new systems with existing systems; ensuring the development of
complete test plans; play active role in new system
implementations, including participating in project management of
system development and organizational change
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with executive team,
leadership team and all users of information services and systems
on solutions and recommended direction of IT to meet strategic
direction
- Engage with leadership in all functional areas, driving
integrated IT planning throughout the business
- Present professional communications to executive leadership in
order to educate and collaborate on strategic direction
- Recruits, hires, leads and inspires the best people in a
high-performance team environment that will deliver corporate
objectives and meet the changing needs of users and the
business
- Develop, Negotiate and administer vendors, outsourcers, and
consultant contracts and service agreements and contracts (i.e.,
Business Solutions, Hardware, and Application Vendors, Cellular,
and Phone service)
- Manage all financial aspects of the IT team including
development and control of budgets and estimates for expenses,
capital, and IT inventory
- Oversight of the management of Customer Service and Sales
business intelligence/management software and tools. Resolves
escalated issues when needed
- Develop standard operating procedures for protocols and
guidance to IT staff and end-users, including but not limited to
architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards
(hardware/software), purchasing, and service
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written
documentation, including system and user manuals, license
agreements, and documentation of modifications and
upgradesQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job

EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science
or related field required
- At least 5 years IT management experience and 3 years as IT
Manager or Director
- Experience in managing an ERP implementing and/or maintenance
of Microsoft AX ERP system a plus
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations a plusTechnical
experience or knowledge with:
- Managing end user operations related to Helpdesk, Messaging,
Accounts Management and Systems/Network/Virtualization Engineering
a plus
- Managing Windows environments
- Managing Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS in an
enterprise environment
- Managing the assessment, design, build and implementation of
VMWare
- Managing the assessment, design, build and implementation of
networking architecture, firewalls, multi-suite switches, backup
technologies within an enterprise environmentMinimum Required
Qualifications:
- Proven record of success initiating and executing major
business technology or IT change
- Ability to anticipate and ready the organization for changes in
technology
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Will provide
consultation on complex projects
- Ability to negotiate on behalf of the organization with
business partners
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship building
skills.
- Adept at problem solving
- Must be results oriented with strong analytical business
skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to evolve with multiple demands, shifting priorities,
ambiguity, and rapid change.
- Ability to manage time efficiently
- Organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-up
skills
- Work will include travel and work at all of Kayem Foods plants
and entities
- Ability to work on and manage other company specific software &
hardware systems
- Ability to effectively learn and train others on new technology
