**Director of Human Resources**

The Director of HR is responsible for the overall administration, communication, coordination and implementation of all HR programs, policies and operations for the Boston location as they apply to?employee relations,?compensation,?benefits, safety, performance and recruiting
**The Role**
+ Oversees and directs the execution of human resources policies and practices related to employee relations, compensation administration, new hire 1:1 orientations, performance management, HR related training and recruiting operations.
+ Works with managers to recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
+ Partners with Compensation to facilitate the year-end compensation process and assist with evaluation of jobs, and job description process.
+ Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions and consults with VP, Talent Acquisition & Employee Relations and legal counsel as appropriate.
+ Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to compliance requirements and advising management as needed.
+ Leads recruiting and hiring practices for Boston to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
+ Proactively manages relevant vendors, auditors, and consultants.
+ Leads and/or participates in HR or business initiatives and special projects, as appropriate
+ Provides ongoing feedback, development and performance reviews of staff.
+ Facilitates the coordination and preparation of Bostons headcount & staffing budget, reconciling monthly budget variances with Finance.
+ Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
**The Candidate**
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required. Master's degree in a Human Resources or related field preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years of related HR experience working in a plant/manufacturing environment. Preferred experience working in a Biotech/Pharma industry.
+ PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
+ Extensive knowledge of employment laws and HR practices required.
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of employees.
