Job Description:
Responsible for the daily operations of all Civil Background
Screening Operations, including the supervision of the CORI unit
and DCJIS call center. Daily operations include, but are not
limited to supervision of FTE staff, hiring and training interns;
monitoring and maintaining the automated and paper based CORI
systems, and monitoring and maintaining call center operations.
Currently, over NUMBER CORI requests are processed and the call
center responds to over 100,000 inquiries annually. CORI requests
generate over $10 Million annually for the Commonwealth. Provide
operational oversight of criminal justice background check
services, including the development of standard operating
procedures and policies for the Civil background screening units.
Analyze, process and screen Massachusetts criminal court
arraignments in accordance with Mass General laws daily in various
background screening queues. Conduct research into constituent
complaints concerning potentially inaccurate CORI and provide
necessary assistance in correcting- results or guidance to get the
issue resolved. Researches and analyzes questions and/or issues
reported from end users regarding any problems that are encountered
in the use of the iCORI system and responds to constituents and end
users with the results. Maintains and manages ServiceNow for the
call center, allowing calls and emails to be tracked and managed
electronically to ensure unit is providing exceptional and timely
services to constituents and end users. Performs critical human
resource functions such as interviewing fo rnew full time employees
and provide hiring recommendations for multiple units, disciplinary
actions, training, and conflict resolution. MINIMUM ENTRANCE
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) four (4) years of
full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, professional
internship, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience
in business administration, business management, public
administration, public management, clinical administration or
clinical management or (B) any equivalent combination of the
required experience and substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A
certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for
one (1) year of the required experience. II. An Associate's degree
in a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the
required experience. III. A Bachelor's degree in a related field
may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience.
IV. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for
three (3) years of the required experience. V. A Doctorate degree
in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.
