Overview
The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks a Research Fellow to focus
on next-generation, translational pathology studies who will work
within the Wolpin-Nowak laboratory as part of the Hale Family
Center for Pancreatic Cancer Research ( and the Lustgarten
Foundation Pancreatic Cancer Research Laboratory at the Dana-Farber
Cancer institute (). The Wolpin-Nowak laboratory studies the
epidemiology and biology of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
(PDAC). The pathology portion of the laboratory is focused on
multimodal characterization of human PDAC specimens from large
landscape cohorts as well as specimens collected for clinical trial
correlative studies. We employ and develop genomic, transcriptomic,
and protein-based techniques to study PDAC and its microenvironment
with a focus on digital imaging, spatial technologies, and
automated analysis pipelines driven by machine learning. Members of
our lab collaborate extensively with other laboratories in the Hale
Center, including those focused on mouse and experimental model
systems, immunology, and mathematics/bioinformatics, in order to
maximize the information we can generate from human tumor
specimens.Located in Boston and the surrounding communities,

Responsibilities
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in genetics/genomics,
cancer biology, pathology or related fields. Multidisciplinary
training and experience in multiple of these fields is desirable.
MD or MD-equivalent and PhD-holding candidates will both be
considered; MD/PhD-holding candidates with pathology training are
