Job Description:

The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in community health and medical innovation, is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join our radiology department in Burlington, VT. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services using computed tomography (CT) technology. This position requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in CT technology, patient positioning, and radiation safety, ensuring that all procedures are conducted with the utmost accuracy and care. Operate CT imaging equipment to produce images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes. Work collaboratively with radiologists to determine appropriate imaging techniques and ensure the quality of images. Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures. Prepare and position patients accurately for CT scans. Administer contrast materials as needed under the direction of the medical team. Keep accurate patient records and maintain the confidentiality and security of all patient information. Perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, particularly those involving health and safety. Proficiency in operating CT imaging equipment Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Excellent patient management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) State licensure as a radiologic technologist (if applicable)
