Job Description:
Encompass Health, a national leader in integrated healthcare
services, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to
join our team. This role involves working both in facility-based
settings and providing home-based patient care across 42 states. As
a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision
of our physical therapists to help patients recover and improve
their physical abilities post-injury or illness. This position
requires a compassionate approach and a commitment to
patient-centered care, embodying Encompass Health’s mission to
deliver high-quality comprehensive healthcare services. Assist
physical therapists in the implementation of treatment plans.
Document patient progress and report outcomes to the supervising
physical therapist. Educate patients and families on follow-up care
and in-home exercises. Support patient mobility and physical
activities as part of their rehabilitation process. Maintain a
clean and organized treatment area with proper setup of equipment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in
documenting and managing records electronically. Ability to follow
detailed instructions and treatment plans. Capable of physical
endurance and handling patients with limited mobility. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical
Therapist Assistant license in the practicing state. CPR and BLS
certification preferred.
