The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the overall
administration, communication, coordination and implementation of
all HR programs, policies and operations for the Boston location as
they apply to employee relations, compensation, benefits, safety,
performance and recruiting.
- Oversees and directs the execution of human resources policies
and practices related to employee relations, compensation
administration, new hireorientations, performance management, HR
related training and recruiting operations.
- Works with managers to recommend employee relations practices
necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship
and promote a high level of employee morale and
- Partners with Compensation to facilitate the year-end
compensation process and assist with evaluation of jobs and job
- Supports management by providing human resources advice,
counsel, and decisions. Consults with VP, Talent Acquisition &
Employee Relations and legal counsel as appropriate.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by
keeping up to date on existing and new legislation; enforcing
adherence to compliance requirements and advising management as
- Leads recruiting and hiring practices for Boston to recruit and
hire a superior workforce.
- Provides ongoing feedback, development and performance reviews
of staff.Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind
- Facilitates the coordination and preparation of Boston's
headcount & staffing budget, reconciling monthly budget variances
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required;
Master's degree preferred.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of related HR experience working in a
plant/manufacturing environment, with a preference in
