Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:GENERAL SUMMARYTheQuality Excellence Leader (QEL) leads safety and quality initiatives throughout Chelsea Hospital. This position will help identify and lead the implementation of quality improvement activities through the development, oversight and coordination of detailed work plans and gap analysis of various internal constituents and external agencies. This position assists with the analyses; review trends/research and develops new and more efficient approaches to care of the patients at Chelsea Hospital. TheQEL works to maximize the impact on operational efficiency, incentive reimbursement and population health.REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/LICENSURECurrent Registered Nurse with a current Michigan license. BSN and Master's Degree in Nursingor a health related degree; or baccalaureate and MSN. Three to five years of quality improvement background. Green Belt certification preferredREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESProficient at the use of computer databases, importing and exporting data, report development and basic statistical analysis.Advanced interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate complex theoretical and technical concepts effectively with a wide variety of individuals.Advanced analytical and computer skills in order to manage project work and data.Advanced analytical skills necessary to develop sound recommendations and assist in implementing improved delivery of care systems, policies and procedures, evaluating clinical practice outcomes and developing educational programs.Ability to work with and lead multidisciplinary teams in initiatives to facilitate implementation and measurement activities.Ability to integrate information across myriad settings with the goal of standardization (when appropriate), simplification, and reduction of non-value-added work and steps.Trinity Health's Commitment to Diversity and InclusionTrinity Health employs about 133,000 colleagues at dozens of hospitals and hundreds of health centers in 22 states.
