Job Title: US Medical Head, Rare Blood Disorders Location:
Cambridge, MA About the Job Join the team transforming care for
people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and
neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, youll help deliver
breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of
the highest unmet needs. The US Medical Head, Rare Blood Disorders
(RBD) serves as a member of the Sanofi Specialty Care North America
Medical Affairs Leadership Team and leads the creation and
execution of world class Medical plans to deliver on the medical
brand strategy, collaborating closely with Global Medical teams,
Research and Development, Drug Safety, Sales & Marketing,
Regulatory and other stakeholders to successfully support the
Therapy Area. This position covers a broad portfolio and pipeline
of treatments for Rare Blood Disorders, including hemophilia and

peoples lives. Main Responsibilities: Provide inspirational
Leadership and focus to the US Medical Affairs RBD team to assure
delivery of the US IRBD Medical Affairs priorities, enhance an
organizational culture which enables and fosters teamwork,
cultivate team engagement and performance by attracting, developing
and retaining talents. Lead the US Medical RBD Stakeholder
Engagement strategy. Represent US RBD Medical Affairs and Sanofi
Specialty Care to key external audiences including HCPs, key
thought leaders, medical associations, and other key organizations.
Develop and maintain key opinion leader relationships representing
both the franchise and the broader Healthcare community. Oversee
Insights gathering from all healthcare stakeholders (e.g. KOLs,
payers, and competent authorities). Lead local Data Generation in
complement to the data generated by the clinical development plan
and Global medical. This data is either needed in support of local
market access, or to generate leads for further management of the
Product Life Cycle (PLC) Collaborate with the health economic teams
and Medical Managed Care team to address questions and
opportunities. Ensure proper and appropriate Data Disseminating
strategy on our US Immunology product portfolio within the broader
framework of comprehensive value propositions for all the
stakeholders in the healthcare arena. Oversee implementation of
training and education events for internal and external
stakeholders. Ensure team Compliance with external and internal
guidelines and standard operating procedures by a thorough
understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and other ethical guidelines
relevant to the pharmaceutical industry. Ensure appropriate review
and approval of medical and scientific content of Regulatory,
Safety, Scientific Affairs, Medical Affairs and Commercial outputs.
Lead, plan, and provide medical expertise for all the US RBD
Medical related programs. Assess risks and identify issues,
conflicts or gaps across the brand and portfolio and provide
guidance and solutions. Implement measurable policies regarding
customer and product medical education within the team to assure a
high level of customer satisfaction and compliance. Oversee the
management of the franchise medical budget. Integrate and influence
the key partners and programs to accomplish the US RBD Medical
Affairs priorities. Collaborate with other therapeutic areas to
leverage the US RBD Medical Affairs expertise and programs as
appropriate. About You Basic Qualifications: Advanced degree in a
scientific discipline (e.g. MD, PhD, PharmD). Minimum of 15 years
experience in Medical Affairs, including minimum of 7 years
experience leading a medical function. Minimum of 10 years
experience leading high performing teams with proven track record
of effectively developing talents. Must possess ethical standards
of the highest level and have the knowledge and ability to comply
with all relevant ethical, regulatory, and legal standards. Strong
track record in developing and executing medical strategies in key
markets. Proven track record of building and maintaining a KOL
network in key market. Must have experience of working across and
building effective partnerships between various departments in a
global context. Extensive experience and an excellent track record
in dealing with safety issues is required. Must have experience of
working within a complex and international company and must be able
to work in a matrix environment. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced
training certification in Hematology. Experience in Medical Affairs
Rare Hematology. Has an entrepreneurial vision with strong
execution of that vision. Outstanding interpersonal communication,
negotiation and networking skills. Has critical thinking and
problem-solving mindset. Excellent at planning, project, time,
budget and resource / portfolio allocation. Must be fluent in
English and possess superb written and verbal communication skills.
