opportunity Bose Research is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on
Senior Research Technician to support cutting-edge research in
out-loud and wearable acoustic technologies. This role sits within
a centralized R&D technician team that partners closely with
the Bose Research organization, enabling world-class innovation
through expert experimental execution, laboratory operations, and
technical support. In this role, you will work directly with
research project teams to design and execute acoustic experiments,
build and debug prototypes, and support advanced measurements in
listening rooms, anechoic chambers, and reverberation rooms. You
will play a critical role in translating research ideas into
physical experiments and demonstrations, helping drive the
development of next-generation Bose technologies. What you will do
Responsibilities Partner with Bose Research project teams to plan,
set up, and execute acoustic experiments for out-loud and wearable
audio technologies. Perform acoustic and electro-acoustic
measurements in listening rooms, anechoic chambers, and
reverberation rooms. Build, modify, debug, and maintain research
prototypes and experimental hardware setups. Recruit, schedule, and
support human subjects for on-head measurements of wearable audio
devices, ensuring accurate and repeatable data collection. Set up
and run technology demonstrations to showcase research progress and
capabilities. Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment,
including microphones, measurement systems, audio interfaces, and
computers used for machine learning model training. Ensure
laboratories and test spaces are organized, operational, and
compliant with safety and research protocols. Collaborate across
disciplines and teams, contributing practical insight to
experimental design and execution. What you bring Minimum
Qualifications An AS (Associates of Science) or equivalent
experience in the areas of acoustics, audio, or related engineering
is preferred Hands-on experience with laboratory-based experimental
work, measurements, and technical troubleshooting. Experience
working in acoustics, audio, or related engineering environments.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple
experiments, schedules, and priorities simultaneously. Ability to
work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse
research teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with critical
listening and subjective audio evaluation. Background in recording,
sound production, or studio engineering. Experience as a musician
or strong personal interest in music and audio creation. At Bose,

salary. The hiring range for this position in the primary work
location of Framingham, Massachusetts is: $30.96-$42.57 per
hour.The hiring range for other Bose work locations may
