Occupational Therapist Reports To: Executive Director Role Type:
Per Diem Department/Location: 100% onsite position located at the
Waltham, MA, Guidelight Clinic with opportunities to float to other
sites (Brighton/Woburn/Quincy/Worcester!) Hours: 12p-4p x 2
days/week Setting: PHP/IOP Role Responsibilities: Greet patients
and visitors with warmth and professionalism upon arrival at the
facility. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical,
emotional, and cognitive abilities related to their mental health
conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans to address
clients' specific needs, focusing on improving daily living skills,
work-related skills, and overall quality of life. Implement
therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to help
clients achieve their goals. Collaborate with other healthcare
professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social
workers, and counselors, to ensure a holistic approach to client
care. Educate clients and their families about mental health
conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Monitor and
document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
to ensure optimal outcomes. Provide support and guidance to clients
in managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health
challenges through occupational therapy techniques. Participate in
team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education
opportunities to stay current with best practices in occupational
therapy and mental health. Required Qualifications: Master's degree
in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current
licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational
Therapist. Certification from the National Board for Certification
in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Experience in a mental health or
partial hospital setting required Strong communication,
organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
effectively within an interdisciplinary team. OT Group Experience
