position: The Dietician at Oak Hill’s Hartford Location works 20
hours/week, Mon-Fri 8a-12p flexible hours and helps program
participants maintain health by developing and implementing
nutritious meal plans, teaching food management techniques and
advising personnel assisting program participants on nutritional
care and making healthy choices. Minimum Requirements : Must be
credentialed as a Registered Dietician by the Commission of
Dietetic Registration (CDR) Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or
closely related field, knowledge of dietary planning and experience
developing meal plans and creating menus. Ability to work
independently, strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities: Develops and implements dietary care plans by
assessing nutritional needs; determining resources as needed;
coordinating dietary program with care providers. Designs and
teaches nutrition in-service programs, including food selection,
preparation and economics, monitoring results and ensuring that
dietary plans are followed. Formulates menus and therapeutic diets
by integrating program participant’s dietary needs and required
guidelines. Completes annual assessments as well as initial
assessments when a new program participant moves into Oak Hill.
Represents Oak Hill in a positive and professional manner when
interacting with participants, co-workers, families, outside
agencies and others in the community; ensure that all actions,
activities and decisions are aligned with Oak Hill vision and
values; creates a welcoming, attractive, person-centered,
culturally aware environment for participants and staff.
