ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Portland, Maine. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Tele Job Details: • Work 12.5-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 48 guaranteed hours per week • Every other weekend schedule required • No call requirements • Float as needed throughout the facility • Minimum 2 years of acute recent care experience required • High-acuity and cardio experience is a must • Patient ratios: 1:4-5 (days), 1:5-6 (nights) • Work with high-acuity cardio and medical telemetry patients • Equipment includes IVs, PCA pumps, epidurals, ketamine drips, wound vacs, specialty beds, central lines, PICCs, trachs, chest tubes, and complex wound care • Electronic medical record system: EPIC • BLS certification required • Must complete online education modules • Dress code: any color scrubs allowed, fragrance-free unit • No AirPods/headphones, hoodies, unprofessional attire, open-toe shoes, gel polish, or artificial nails permitted • Must be a quick learner, team player, flexible, adaptable, and accountable Facility: This healthcare facility features a fast-paced, high-acuity medical surgical telemetry unit with 44 beds plus overflow capacity and 6 embedded intermediate care beds. The unit specializes in caring for high-acuity cardio and medical telemetry patients, including complex wounds, burns, trauma cases, and post-operative care.
